HaleAmanO Wins “The Fight For Fame”

Playing before a packed loyal crowd at E-String in Henderson, the lads from HaleAmanO, proved to be too much for the competition, as they won “The Fight For Fame”. Thus ended the summer long event which pitted eighty eight local bands from the Las Vegas area, in a four round elimination contest. The finals had six bands contending for the top prize of $10,000 in cash and services. All genres were welcome to enter the event.

Bands were required to play a 30 minute set, and 4 judges evaluated the set giving their comments and criticisms. Fan participation was essential (similiar to American Idol) as each band needed to promote and sell admission tickets for the opportunity to vote for your favorite band. HaleAmanO was the fifth band to play, and they fed off the energy the crowd was providing and played their (butts) off. In the end, the judges were in complete agreement and gave the guys positive comments. The crowd agreed and after tallying all the ballots, HaleAmanO was announced the winner of the event!

It’s fans like you that make a difference.

Spokesman for the group, Ryan Fleming accepted the award and wanted all of the HaleAmanO fans to know how much they appreciated all of the support through the whole competition. “It’s fans like you that make a difference.” Fleming also wanted to remind everyone of the bands upcoming tour of Hawaii in February. Venues, dates, and times will be announced shortly, so check back on any of the bands social networks or go to http://www.haleamano.com.

Thank you for being a loyal HaleAmanO fan.

Swimming with the Sharks

Citylife did a great writeup on HaleAmanO a few days ago.

Swimming with the sharks

“There’s actually a huge Hawaiian community here, which I didn’t know until joining this band,” Parkhurst says. “This is the ninth island, so they say,” Beavers adds. “That’s the nucleus of our fanbase. It’s been the best fanbase I’ve ever seen. It’s tight-knit: They show up to a lot of shows, and they’re very supportive … and the casinos love us because the music’s clean and positive.”

Thank You For A Great Summer!

Howzit?? It was a great summer for HaleAmanO. On June 5th we released our debut CD “HOUSE OF SHARKS” with fabulous success. We have you all to thank for supporting our band and coming to our gigs. We were very busy playing at venues around Las Vegas and did a some California gigs in Bakersfield, Venice, and San Diego. We shared the bill with Island sensations Kimie, Anuhea and also The Green.

The popular pool events at the Green Valley Ranch Pond made us lots of new friends and fans. We were the first group to hold two spots on Pipeline2Paradise weekly Top 7 countdown. And a big Mahalo to Phat Joe and his Reggae Cafe radio show on Island98.5 in Hawaii, as he featured many of our tunes from the CD.

So what now?
This fall look for us to continue our quest to bring you the very best in island roots rock reggae music. A date with Ekolu on November 7th is the highlight so far, but there will be more added as we head towards the holidays. Soon you will hear of our plans for tours to CA, AZ, CO, OR, WA, UT and Hawaii!

Check us out on REVERBNATION. You can put our music player on your website by choosing a widget. Try it,, we would be honored to be on your site…
